OUR FOUNDER

Becky Eldredge

Becky is an Ignatian trained spiritual director, retreat facilitator, and author of two books: The Inner Chapel (Loyola Press, April 2020) and Busy Lives and Restless Souls (Loyola Press, March 2017). She has also contributed reflections for Give us This Day (Liturgical Press) and the Homilists for the Homeless series from Clear Faith Publishing. Becky is part of the Archdiocese of New Orleans Spirituality Center teaching staff where she trains spiritual directors in the Ignatian tradition.

Passionate about Ignatian spirituality and teaching people how to pray and discern, Becky draws from over twenty years of ministry experience in the Catholic Church to help others make room for God in the busyness and invite them deeper in their walk with Christ.

What is Ignatian Spirituality?

Ignatian Spirituality offers a pathway to God developed by St. Ignatius of Loyola, the founder of the Society of Jesus. It is rooted in the Gospel and Catholic tradition and emphasizes personal reflection through prayer, meditation, and discernment. This approach to spirituality has been widely influential worldwide, spreading its influence far beyond Catholicism.

Ignatian spirituality offers practical tools for those seeking a more contemplative lifestyle and wanting to deepen their relationship with God. It is designed for real life and invites a person to bring God into all areas of their life by using Ignatian tools of prayer and discerment.
